Glass in Archaeology is a specialist service offered by Judith Carroll and Company, Archaeological Consultants. Judith Carroll has been working as an archaeological consultant since the 1980s and has carried out archaeological assessments and excavations for public and private clients countrywide since that time. She has a particular interest in prehistoric and medieval glass and enamels and is now focussing on work in this area.
Judith has an MA in archaeology from University College Dublin with an MA thesis on an aspect of Irish early medieval glassworking. While carrying out consultancy work, she has produced reports and publications on glass and glassworking. Her work involves examination of glass artefacts from Ireland and overseas. She is a member of the Institute of Archaeologists of Ireland .
